Alzheimer\u2019s disease often begins with subtle but profound changes: among the earliest warning signs is spatial disorientation<\/strong>, the inability to recognize routes or recall familiar paths. This symptom can drastically affect independence and quality of life, making early detection<\/strong> essential.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with researcher Davide Cammisuli <\/strong>(Airalzh and Universit\u00e0 Cattolica di Milano), ComfTech contributed to a pioneering study exploring spatial disorientation in patients with early cognitive decline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the trials, participants wore ComfTech\u2019s Howdy Senior<\/a><\/strong>, our smart garment equipped with sensors to continuously track physiological and motion parameters \u2014 including cardiorespiratory frequency, gait<\/strong>. This allowed researchers to detect moments of hesitation, confusion, or stress<\/strong> during navigational tasks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to wearable monitoring, the study provided objective evidence of altered spatial cognition in patients with mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer\u2019s biomarker.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
